Systems for delivery
Building the systems behind delivery
Delivery can stall even when everyone is doing their part. I organize the information, handoffs, and working structures it depends on, and take responsibility for coordinating assignments, decisions, and reviews.
Let’s explore your challengeWhen this can help
- People spend too much effort finding or recreating information
- Work stalls at handoffs or unclear responsibilities
- A wider effort needs someone to carry it forward
Working structures
Build around how the work happens
What this can produce
A working environment built around the task
- Usable information structures and shared workspaces
- Defined authoring, review, and delivery steps
I work with contributors to trace what they need to create, find, exchange, and review—and where context gets lost. I build information structures, authoring environments, shared workspaces, or workflows around those needs, testing them with the people who will use and maintain them.
Coordinated delivery
Carry responsibility across the handoffs
What this can produce
Coordination across contributors
- Assignments, schedules, and clear handoffs
- A shared view of progress and decisions
A contribution can be complete while the next person still lacks what they need. I make dependencies explicit, coordinate assignments and reviews, and bring unresolved questions to the people who can decide them. I follow those decisions through as priorities and conditions change.
Continuous improvement
Improve the system through delivery
What this can produce
Improvements that carry into future work
- Changes assessed against quality, effort, and cost
- A way to maintain the improved system
Repeated questions, workarounds, and difficult reviews reveal where the system needs attention. I investigate the cause and develop a change. We assess its effect on quality, effort, cost, and other contributors before incorporating it into delivery.
Working together
A clear role in the work.
I can build a working environment, improve an existing process, or take ongoing responsibility for coordination and delivery. We agree on what should become easier or more reliable and how to assess the change.
